Concrete Sleepers
Are the concrete sleepers suitable for structural retaining wall?
Yes, our Real-Crete® Concrete Sleepers are used in structural Retaining Walls. They are structurally certified by an approved engineer to a height of 2.4 meters. Retaining Walls of a greater height than 2.4 meters can be individually engineered to suit. (Check your local council requirements)
How difficult are concrete sleepers to install?
Real-Crete® Concrete Sleepers are easy to install yourself in minor applications such as Garden Beds, Garden Edging, Steps, Stepping Stones and small Retaining Walls – we do though recommend that you use ‘Real-Crete®’ or another preferred Licensed Landscaper to install your structural Retaining Walls.
What about painting?
The colour is right through the concrete, not just painted on the surface, they will never need painting.
Are the concrete sleepers reinforced?
Yes. All our Concrete Sleepers are steel reinforced to engineer specifications.
How long do you recommend products that are manufactured by Real-Crete® Outdoor Products should last?
Our concrete products should last a life-time. They are fireproof, will not split, warp, flake or rot and are white ant/termite safe. They are maintenance free and taking into consideration the above factors should never need to be replaced.
Can the ‘Real-Crete®’ Concrete Sleepers be cut to suit a particular size?
Yes. The Concrete Sleepers can be cut to any size required.
Post and Rail Fences
Can Real-Crete® erect the fence for us?
Yes. Real-Crete® can erect the fence for you.
Can I attach a gate to the Real-Crete® Post and Rail Fence?
Yes. A gate, ringlock and even electric wire can be attached to the fence to suit your requirements.
How long are the posts, and how far do they need to be dug into the ground?
The Post and Rail Posts are 1800mm long, and are dug into the ground at approximately 600mm.
What is the distance between Posts when installed?
There is approximately 2400mm between the centre of one post to the centre of the next post when a ‘Real-Crete®’ Post and Rail Fence is fully installed. |
